Goulash

Another quick and easy meal that I made last week was goulash. I don’t have a real recipe for this, so the measurements are just guesses.

Goulash
  • 16 oz. Tinkyada pasta, or other gluten free pasta, cooked
  • ½ lb. ground turkey (easier on the budget than a full pound of ground beef)
  • Diced onion
  • Tomato sauce
  • Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses

Cook the ground turkey and onions together. Add the tomato sauce and heat until warm. Add some S & P if desired. Add hot sauce (like Frank's) if you want; I always do!

Stir in the cooked pasta and some parmesan. Sprinkle mozzarella on the top and place under the broiler until the cheese melts.

I usually make this in my all metal stockpot so it can go straight into the oven.

This reminds me that over the weekend I made chili for the first time this fall and it was SO yummy! I thought the batch of chili was perfect, just the way it was, but when I went back in the kitchen.. Michael was getting seconds and pouring in the "Franks" lololol... apparently it wasn't hot enough for him! I thought it was funny! lol

Hi Everybody,
And the nice thing about this meal, Sari, is that you can make so many other variations to suit your mood.
Love Dad :-)

Thanks for the article. I use only healthy pasta for my family.
The last few times I ordered it online at Whole And Natural.com. They have a large selection at very reasonable prices and ship fast.

Healthy Holidays to all,
Debby
