Yummy Fruit!

We had a few dollars left over in our food budget this week, and since Wal-Mart had pomegranates on sale for $1.88, I thought I’d get one.

It was quite juicy and flavorful, although after I finished getting the seeds out of it, I was full of red juice!

I've always wanted to try one..and after seeing your pix..I'm going to finally try this fruit! Did you mix it into anything?

Hi Sarah, I just stopped in and saw your lovely photo of the pomegranate seeds. I thought I would leave a tip for you. Fill a large deep bowl with water, cut the pom. in half, then break each half apart under the water and work the seeds loose as you wiggle the fruit aound. Pull the little 'pith' off the seeds as you go, if some sticks to the fruit. You end up with a lot of yummy seeds, and no red juice staining you and your clothes! Yes it takes a few minutes, but it's worth it.

Caitlin,
Thanks for the tip! That sounds like a much better way of doing it!

I just had my seeds by themselves, but you could put them on just about anything. They have such a nice juicy flavor, I just liked them the way they were!
